Two local businesses have come together to lend a hand and support each other during tough times with deliveries across the region.

A cleaning company has teamed up with a popular florist to cheer up local people with flower deliveries to a hospital and care homes.

The Friendly Cleaning Company, which provides bespoke cleaning services for holiday lets, has lent a helping hand to the Flower Man, a family-run florist to deliver bouquets to four care homes and Cheltenham General Hospital.

Both companies are based at the Cheltenham Space Business Centre, and have been helping each other with deliveries across Gloucestershire.

Sue Shaw, Owner of the Friendly Cleaning Company said it was important for local businesses to support each other during the tough times ahead.

“Businesses need to come together as we prepare for the difficult few months ahead, which is why we’ve been helping the team with their flower deliveries across the county and getting other businesses onsite to take some of their own flowers home to enjoy.

“We’ve been based in Cheltenham for the last three years and it’s great to see that there’s a real neighbourly atmosphere here.

“We also loved being able to help the Flower Man team with bringing some lovely flowers to the care homes and we look forward to being able to help out where we can with their stunning bouquets in the future.”

Lucy Parr, who co-owns the shop with her brother Paul Tudge, added: “We are very appreciative of the Friendly Cleaning Company for their support in getting these deliveries sent out and helping us to brighten peoples’ days at the care homes and hospital.

“It was really helpful to have Sue and the team’s support to get these done, and deliver some lovely flowers to people across county.

“The Space Business Centre has an atmosphere that encourages businesses to connect and work together so we are proud to be based in Cheltenham and very grateful to other local businesses and people for their support.”

Cheltenham Space Business Centre, a state-of-the-art business centre which is owned by property investment company AC Lloyd, is one of two centres in Gloucestershire.

Toni Willoughby, Site Manager for AC Lloyd, added: “It’s wonderful to see that businesses are coming together to provide support to one another when they need it most.

“The businesses at Space Business Centre are really supportive of each other which is exactly what we need as companies prepare for this difficult period.

“Although many of our businesses are closed at the moment due to Covid-19, there are many with services available online for local people so make sure you visit our website for more information.”
